The Wilton Dive Rescue team was newly formed in the Spring of 2003. The SCUBA team is a joint venture consisting of members from the Town's Police and Fire Departments. Members of the SCUBA team are trained in rescue, search and recovery tactics. The Team members are required to dive in both cold and warm water environments. They train once a month in local waters as well as bodies of water outside of Town. The Wilton Dive Rescue team will respond to mutual aid calls in neighboring communities to assist in their water emergency.
